I’m a PC and I need a Mac
We all know how the Bill and Jerry ads failed. Funny, but just unable to get a message across. So, Microsoft pulls them, and starts running the I’m a PC ads. First off, so original! But in a moment of true irony, I ran across this little bit of info. Turns out the creative and possibly the ad itself were created on, what for it, Macs. The whole point of the ad is that a PC can do anything a Mac can do. In this age of embedded meta-data, Microsoft should have known that someone would look at this. Even though it’s true that most ad agencies use Macs, Microsoft is large enough, and probably spent enough money to insist that the company creating the ads use, well, a PC.
